Spinning in circles
That seem to never end
While staring at nothing;
Music high.
Eyes blurred,
Voice cracking,
Heart pounding,
Play it louder.
Head rested
Upon my arms.
Eyes closed
But, I still see.
Foot gently tapping
As my mind spins
Unable to grab
Onto stable ground.
Lost in the wilderness,
Unable to see
The path I am
Supposed to take.
Stumbling
Through the bramble,
Needles and thorns.
Give me one more high.
Extend your hand,
Take me
Into your arms
And embrace me.
Louder,
The bass rumbles
Setting my beat,
My rhythm.
Turn around
Smile again
And take me away
From this place.
Trapped
In the same song
Unable to escape;
Repeat.
Unable to move,
Eyes open
But, I cannot see
The path.
Where am I?
Who am I?
What am I supposed to do?
Waste away...
