Memories gathered in puddles
While each moment passes
As a raindrop
Hurtling towards the ground
Each rain cloud washing away worry
And each ray of sunshine
A new hope
For what is to come
Every moment
Captured in these
Shallow little pools
On the icy cold ground
Too hot to snow
Too cold to be warm
Just icy rain
Falling down on me
It wasn't so cold
When I was with you
These puddles
Weren't so deep
These woods never
Seemed so silent
They always rang with laughter
With you
As the rain falls
I look back at the puddles
My heart held heavy
With such melancholy thoughts
The sun no longer breaks
Through these dark clouds
No more hope
No more dreams
These puddles have turned dark
Turned murky
Along with my thoughts
Of what is to come
The rain never felt so cold
The ground never felt so hard
The forest never so silent
With you
The rain drops
That hurtle to the cold ground
They hurt now
Like a thousand tiny needles
I keep searching
Searching for a single ray
But it is no where to be found
In the black sky
I keep splashing
Trying to find shallow ground
In these once clear puddles
Which now drown me
These puddles
Melancholy puddles
That once made me so happy
Now are slowly drowning me
It won't stop raining

Without you here
The sun just won't shine
The heavy clouds won't stop pouring
They won't stop growing
They just won't stop
Not without you
The memories that were once warm
Now hold me under
As the water grows frigid
And the water turns to ice
Stuck in place
Searching the dark sky
In the dark forest
Waiting for a new ray
Waiting silently
In an equally silent forest
Waiting for these puddles to unfreeze
Waiting for you...
Waiting for you to scatter the clouds
Return the sun
And turn the rain warm
Under the glorious rainbow once more...
