The stars in the sky shining out of reach
Are so bright; a blinding light.
I wonder if what they say is true
About wishing on a shoot star
It's hard to tell the difference
Between a firefly and a star
Such brilliant beauty
That I can only envy...
I wonder if wishing upon
A captive firefly would bring such wishes
That this heart cries for
I wonder if they would bring them to me...
It's hard to tell
Whether it's just a dream I am in
Or if I am living
A truly brilliant life.
Everything comes to an end
The night, a life
The flittering fireflies
Even this wondrous dream
I can't tell
If I am holding a firefly
Or a delicate star
In these hands.
Wishing upon a shooting star...
A foolish desire or a heartfelt wish?
Staring at the sky
And waiting
I can't tell
If I am surround by dancing fireflies
Or slowly fading stars
That are dying as the night ends
I can tell
I can tell
That is was all a dream
There are no stars here
There are no stars
No fireflies
No hopeful wishes
No heartfelt desires
There is nothing here.
Not you
Not me
Nothing... Not even a falling star...
